Together with its Business Units and other sister companies, Freudenberg Chemical Specialities celebrated the 175th anniversary of its parent company, Freudenberg & Co. KG, in July. In Münsing on Lake Starnberg, more than 2,000 employees took part in the big anniversary party in the marquee with brass music and typical Bavarian specialties.
Founded in 1849 by Carl Johann Freudenberg, the company today generates annual sales of almost 12 billion euros and employs around 52,000 people in around 60 countries. Freudenberg is active in around 40 market segments, including the market for chemical specialties.
Speakers, including Dr. Sebastion Weiß, CFO FreudenbergChemical Specialities, and Dr. Wolfgang Sammer, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing and Spokesman of the Management Board of Klüber Lubrication, honored this impressive anniversary and referred to the unique company history since 1849. It is the mixture of tradition, adaptability and future-oriented thinking that makes the Freudenberg Group so successful. Further celebrations to mark the company's 175th anniversary are or have already taken place at numerous Freudenberg locations worldwide.
